Silo Twist HURRICANE

A silage distributor designed for efficient and uniform feed distribution from 80 HP and above.

The Silo Twist HURRICANE is engineered to distribute silage evenly across the full silo width after unloading. With a net weight of 870 kg, it is suitable for tractors from 80 HP and above. The machine is ideal for handling consistent feed volumes and operates effectively at unloading heights of up to 80 cm.

Accessories

Reverse gear

The Silo Twist HURRICANE can be operated with both rear and front PTO. An optional reverse and reduction gearbox enables front mounting and adjusts the rotor speed to match the PTO output, ensuring smooth and even distribution at both 540 rpm (rear) and 1,000 rpm (front).

Pivoting device

The hydraulic pivoting device improves efficiency in bunker silo operations by enabling precise feed distribution across the full working area. The pivot point, positioned close to the three-point linkage, allows smooth and controlled movement away from the silo wall.

A dual-cylinder system ensures stable operation, while a locking block prevents unintended movement, increasing safety during both work and transport.

Swath limiters

Optional side swath limiters allow for a near-vertical silo build-up, even without side walls. In bunker silos, swath curtains help keep the material in place and support effective compaction.

The swath limiters can be folded hydraulically for easy operation, while their extension is adjusted manually on this model.

Electrical control system

An optional electrical control system allows convenient and central operation of all hydraulic functions. Key features such as the pivoting device and swath limiters can be easily controlled using a toggle switch.

Switchable side gears

Optional hydraulically switchable side gears allow the direction of the rotors to be changed, enabling targeted feed distribution to one side when required.

An integrated electrical control unit ensures convenient operation of key functions, including side gears, swath limiters and the pivoting device.

Wide-angle PTO shaft

A standard PTO shaft is sufficient for most applications. In specific cases, such as tractors with higher mounting points or steep operating angles, a single-sided wide-angle PTO shaft may be required. This option is available as an accessory for the Silo Twist HURRICANE.

Road lighting system

An optional road lighting system is available for the Silo Twist HURRICANE, improving visibility and safety during transport. This feature is especially useful for operations involving frequent road use between locations.
