A silage roller with adjustable working width for greater flexibility.

The hydraulically adjustable SILO KOMPAKT models offer working widths of 2.50 or 3.00 m, with the frame able to shift 500 mm to either side. This allows safer and more precise compaction, especially near silo edges and walls, while expanding the range of applications during operation.

Accessories

Silage edge compactor

An optional side edge compactor supports safe and even edge formation, especially when working with freestanding silage heaps without walls. It can be mounted on one or both sides, improving compaction quality and stability across the entire silo.

For operation, a dual-acting hydraulic control is required, with an optional electrical control system available if additional connections are needed.

Electrical control system

An optional electronic control system enables convenient and central operation of the machine and its accessories. It is especially useful for tractors with limited hydraulic connections, allowing functions such as lateral adjustment and the side edge compactor to be easily controlled via a toggle switch.

Road lighting system

Optional marker lights improve visibility and safety during transport on public roads. This feature is especially useful for operations involving frequent travel between locations.

Additional weights

The SILO KOMPAKT rollers can be filled with water as standard, with optional magnetite ballast and additional weights available to further increase total mass. These options can be combined to achieve maximum compaction performance. Increased weight improves feed density, reduces air pockets and minimizes losses, resulting in higher silage quality and more usable dry matter.

Hydraulic towing device as an option

An optional hydraulically folding towing device supports operation on higher silos by allowing vehicles to be hooked and pulled onto the silo without leaving the cab. For operation, an additional double-acting hydraulic function is required. The hydraulic towing device cannot be combined with the side edge compactor on the SK 250 H model, but is compatible with all other models. Mechanical towing hooks are included as standard on all SILO KOMPAKT units.
